A couple of good music sites:
KUCI - I will argue this is better than any other site you've ever been on.
Pitchfork - This site is getting so hip that a lot of noncomformists hipsters are starting to bash it. Excellent reviews, up to the date news. Leans a bit towards indie rock, but that's definitely fine by me.
All Music - All things music. You could pretty much find anything relating to music here, from band bios to CD Reviews. Necessary for anyone who loves music.
So here's some music that I love, check em out.
Nirvana - Made me want to listen to music. Slick passionate grunge rock, the first band I ever got into.
Radiohead - The best band in the world right now. Got something for everyone.
Modest Mouse - Probably the best lyrics in modern rock, and some of the most respected albums those silly indie kids talk about.
Led Zeppelin - When you go to this site, Immigrant Song comes on. And you just have to rock out.
Smashing Pumpkins - A little versatile group of kids led by Billy Corgan who will coil your tongue around a bumblebee mouth.
Queens of the Stone Age - Hard rock laced with catchy choruses and some of the best guitar-work you'll find.
Muse - One of the most talented trios out there, there isn't much these guys can't do once you get over the boring Radiohead comparisons.
The Distillers - Not too sure what Brody has in mind these days, but this band has three of the best punk records I've ever listened to.
Interpol - Monotone gloom with a perfect blend of guitars and a quick bassist.
Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Who needs a bassist when you've got the sex appeal of Karen O to peel your skin?
NOFX - Punk pioneers, pretty much got me into fast chords and amazing quick basslines.
Placebo - Glam rock, sort of like a lesser mix of Nirvana and Radiohead.
The Strokes - Brought the New York scene back and made constant down strokes popular.
The Velvet Underground - Laid back. Perfect for any mood you could think of.
Fiona Apple - Can't seem to get over that love hangover, but it's nice to listen to.
Blonde Redhead - Really awesome band, generally mellow. Somewhat similar to Sparklehorse.
A Perfect Circle - Maynard James Keenan's more melodic side. I've always preferred them over Tool.
Chevelle - Powerful, loud, and abrasive vocals with layered powerchords.
Wilco - Soothing music. One of the best voices in rock in Jeff Tweedy.
Damien Rice - Singer/Songwriter with a lot on his mind, very much easy listening.
Silversun Pickups - You could practically lift these songs off of Gish, grungy sound reminiscent of early Smashing Pumpkins.
Phantom Planet - While their first two albums are decent, they're overly poppy. Their third album sounds like a Strokes album, and it is a favorite of mine.
Elliott Smith - One of our generation's most talented singer/songwriters.
Spoon - Infectious beyond belief.
The Fiery Furnaces - New York siblings that go from pop to experimental in an instance.
The Arcade Fire - It's like you're watching a movie. A really, really good movie.
Clap Your Hands Say Yeah - Up-tempo, high energy rock n roll.
Sparklehorse - Melodic, moody, beautiful.
Sleater-Kinney - A trio of energetic lady punk rockers.
Wolf Parade - You'll eventually jump up and down.
Xiu Xiu - You won't hear this anywhere else, the weirdest pop around.
The Walkmen - Clangy guitars, brilliant drumming, and a singer that sounds like an eccentric Bob Dylan.
Figurines - Take Modest Mouse, put them in Denmark.
The Kills - Reckless Punk Blues.
Deerhoof - Noise Rock with some wacky lyrics, but you can't help but listen.
Tokyo Police Club - If 1984 was set at a fast paced 16 minute CD, this would be it.
Buildings Breeding - Amazing vocals with amazing hooks and sweet easy going chords.
The Decemberists - Generally stripped down, and generally awesome.
Tap Tap - Like an overseas version of Clap Your Hands Say Yeah with more manageable vocals.
Tapes 'n Tapes - Some more spunky rockers.
Clinic - Create quite an atmosphere with a lead singer that'll pull out your soul.
Hot IQs - Like Franz Ferdinand. Except consistently good.
Neutral Milk Hotel - Indie Folk at its best.
Beirut - Fun gypsy kind of stuff. I need more accordion.
Of Montreal - Happy indie pop with some psychedelia thrown in.
Metric - Indie pop led by Emily Haines, catchy.
Broken Social Scene - Canadian supergroup fun.
Man Man - Have a beer and sing your worries away.
Final Fantasy - If you dig strings and the sort you'll dig this.
Hot Chip - Electronic beats to compliment two amazing voices that contrast each other perfectly.
The Knife - More electronica, but this is whacky and all over the place. Still cool and not lacking talent.
Yo La Tengo - These pioneers have been doing it for a while, songs crafted to near perfection.
Cold War Kids - A more melodic version of the Walkmen, same clangy guitars but there's a girl singing in here and some themes about God and whatnot.
Joanna Newsom - She plays a harp. And she's so good at it. The fucking harp.
Explosions in the Sky - Sit back and relax, these guys will set the scene for you without saying a word.
Comets on Fire - They remind me of Pink Floyd in some of the structures of their songs, and that should be saying a lot.
Elefant - Yeah the 80s suck, but Elefant recaptures the good parts of 80s pop.
The Blow - More electronic girls talking about their business.
Arrah and the Ferns - Listen to this and try not to be happy. Seriously, you can't do it. It's just, so many happies.
The Good, the Bad, and the Queen - Members from the Gorillaz, the Clash, and the Verve have a mellow and subtle chat about politics. Luckily you can overlook the politics.
Margot & the Nuclear So and So's - Chamber pop comparable to the Arcade Fire and the Decemberists.
The Thermals - If the Strokes were raw and a little edgier, this would be them.
Do Make Say Think - Instrumental bliss, a great combination of jazz and alternative rock.
Built to Spill - Imagine Modest Mouse but much more structured. Actually you could call Modest Mouse a less structured copy of Built to Spill, considering the latter came first.
The Subjects - Another band that reminds me of the Strokes, but the Subjects have a lot more hooks than the Thermals do.
The Stills - This is like Interpol except without all the crazy no sense metaphors Paul uses(that I love). I love this sound.
Annuals - Another chamber pop band a la the Arcade Fire.
...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead - They've changed their sound a bit over the years, but remain solid. Use crashing chorus, intense drums, and descending arpeggios very well.
